The report advocates for the promotion and support of breastfeeding continuation upon a mother's return to work, workplaces that facilitate on-site breastfeeding or breast milk expression in private areas, and flexible work hours and breaks.
These results are particularly troubling because it is well documented that women who are encouraged by healthcare professionals are more likely to initiate breastfeeding.
